Love this!!!

These are the kind of things that are the main thought behind my starting my music class. Just look at the talent of the kid and the sheer joy on his face as he plays the percussion instrument. Parents need to look out and encourage their kids as much as possible. Who knows what talent is hidden in whom? Enjoy!

Holi Celebrations 2014

On Mar 29, for the Holi Celebration at the local India Center here in Westchester NY, my students were asked to perform one song.

The students did a quick turnaround of the song Bande Hain Hum Uske from the movie Dhoom 3. I mainly picked that song because of the lyrics of the song and the melody. It is sung so beautifully by Shivam Mahadevan and Anish Sharma.

Here is the video for the same. The kids are getting very comfortable handling new Hindi songs, given that they do not speak Hindi. Diction is something, apart from being comfortable on stage, is something we are still working on. More work to do.

Check out the video - Bande Hain Hum Uske from Dhoom 3, music by Pritam Chakraborty

Hello everyone!

I thought it made more sense to have a dedicated place for the school on the web where I could interact with folks, apart from just having a page on FaceBook and restricting overall viewership.

Here I can expand on what I want to write about, share information about music, events, my students, and many other things.

Here you will also find information on the classes I hold, with dates and times, and have any of your questions answered.

I hope to make this site informative for everyone, and believe you will enjoy your visit here.

Best!
